UNstuck Prayer of Confession
Several people asked me today about the prayer we prayed at the end of the message. It is posted below.
God, I confess to you that there are places in my life where I’m stuck right now.
For the ways in which I’ve contributed to that, I ask your forgiveness. For the circumstances that are beyond my control, I pray for your grace to help set me free.
Regardless of how long I’ve been stuck, God, I trust that you can help me get moving again.
Help me identify the next step.
Help me partner with the right people.
Help me change the right behaviors.
Help me, God, to get moving again.
Remind me today, God, that it’s not about me, but that the work that you are doing in me is but a small part of the great work you are doing in your world.
Today, God, I again offer myself to the work of your Kingdom, and I receive today this sacrament, the broken body and shed blood of Christ, as an invitation to offer myself to others in the name of Jesus.
All these things we pray in his name. AMEN.
