I just wanted to remind everyone that we will not be having Transformation Journey tonight! This week all of our pastors and several delegates from our Church are attending Annual Conference, a gathering of all United Methodist churches in our area of Texas. Tonight, I will be attending the Ordination Service at 7 p.m. at Whites Chapel UMC in Southlake.
This special service is the moment when ministerial candidates finally complete their ordination process and are ordained by our Bishop as Elders and Deacons in the United Methodist Church. It’s an incredibly important moment in the lives of those candidates, the culmination of 10-12 years of work, and I decided it would send the wrong message to each of you for me to skip that service this evening to teach TJ.
We will cover Proverbs and Ecclesiastes together on Tuesday, June 16th when we get back on schedule. I appreciate your flexibility. Know that I hate cancelling more than anybody, but I felt like this was the most appropriate decision. Also, you are more than welcome to attend the Ordination service Tuesday night at White’s Chapel. Service should begin around 7 p.m.
