So what’s on your iPod?

What song do you find yourself singing over and over again?

Do you listen to music around the house? At the gym? In the car? Sitting at your desk at work?

Have you ever noticed how much of our lives are filled with music?

Almost everywhere you go, if you take the time to listen, you will hear a track playing in the background… And if you take the time to listen, you will begin to hear the soundtrack of our culture. Like all music, these songs celebrate particular “truths”, they seek to capture an understanding of life, and provide a certain interpretation of what it means to live a “good” life.

But what happens when the songs that we find ourselves singing do not reflect the truths that we long to live?

During this four week series, we want to listen to the anthems of our culture and dig deeper into the “truths” that they are teaching us. In doing so, we’ll also look at the important role that music plays in the shaping of our faith and our desire to connect with God.
