Friday Rock Star | Krystal

Yesterday I posted about a new series I’m starting here on the blog called, Friday Rock Stars. Each Friday we will be highlighting one of the individuals whose service makes the ministry of our church possible. Why call them Rock Stars, you ask? Here’s what I mean by Rock stars.

A Rock Star is not only someone who shows that they can be the best at what they do, they consistently bring their best to everything that they do!

This week, I’m excited to tell you about someone who is fairly new to our staff, but has been a tremendous blessing to me personally and many more who may not even know it.

Let me introduce you to my assistant, Krystal Rodgers.

Krystal has been working on our staff since last November and has been an absolutely stellar addition to our team. Krystal is heavily involved in GPS, taking what I write each week and formatting it into the insert you see in your bulletin as well as managing our GPS blog, www.growpraystudy.org. If you participate in GPS, every week you are receiving a resource that Krystal pours her heart into!

You will also see Krystal floating around all our weekend worship services providing support to our Digital Worship Team, our worship leaders and the pastors. As my assistant, she does a great job of keeping me focused and free to invest my time where I need to! I said to her last week, “I can’t imagine how I survived without you!”

Krystal is a graduate of Baylor University. She spent a year teaching English in Thailand and has also worked for Invisible Children and Toms Shoes before joining our staff.

A couple of more fun facts…

She loves Tofu [which I think is disgusting].

She’s visited 9 countries, and has experienced an elephant ride on one of those excursions.

She has been on The Price is Right and she’s met Oprah.

She’s sorta like Forrest Gump.

And one more thing… She is a Rock Star.

What a great idea! I think Krystal is a rock star for a lot of us :]

I can't believe you forgot to mention her barista skills! Oh, and I want to know if you "Rock Stars" get t-shirts that say "I'm a rock star" because I think Krystal deserves one.
