Ready for Take Off!
You wouldn’t believe how close he is.
The energy is there.
His smile screams that he is ready.
It’s obvious that he is ready for take off, and any day now, it’s going to happen.
My son is about to become mobile.
Life is about to change in our house. We’ve done everything we need to do to be ready. Sister has been schooled on picking up after herself to make sure that one of those small toys doesn’t end up in brother’s mouth. All the outlets are covered. The cupboards are latched. All the necessary preparations are in place.
Now it’s just up to him to decide when he is ready to take that next step…

Jack eats some solid food!
It was an exciting night last night at the Alexander house as Jack had his first taste of solid food. I shot this short video of the event that I thought some might enjoy. I’m not sure he’s getting a lot of sustenance, but it kept it very entertained during dinner. Here’s the clip.

Jack & Anna watching Praise Baby
For a Baby shower gift, we received a DVD called Praise Baby which is basically a “Baby Einstein” style movie set to praise music. Unlike our daughter who took several years to discover the TV, our 7 month old son is mezmorized by the television. Last fall we decided that he was already a football fan after observing his blank stares at the TV.
I think this video of my kids watching this DVD together will be a moment to treasure.

Last morning
I was up late last night with a group of about 10 people visiting with the pastor of the largest church in out denomination about the future of our church. I’m not a night owl, but how many opportunities do you get to do that? I’m grateful for this time and look forward to being home this evening.

Happy Birthday Anna
Five years ago today, life changed forever. My baby girl Anna was born! Here is a picture from our birthday breakfast at Starbucks. More pictures to come. We have a big day planned.
