Transformation Journey @ 5:30 today!
I wanted to send out a reminder that our Executive Pastor, Sharon Reid will be teaching Transformation Journey today at 5:30 p.m. We will not be having our regularly scheduled 6:30 p.m. session as Sharon will be leading our First Connections class at that time. Sharon is covering for Mike and I as we are away for some time of Study leave.
I hope you will make plans to attend the 5:30 p.m. session. I know Sharon has some great content for you and you will be blessed by her teaching this evening. See you next week for our final session of Transformation Journey!

Questions from I & II Timothy Session
Here are some of the reflection questions I offered up at the end of our Transformation Journey session last night on I & II Timothy.
What does a Godly example look like? What are the defining characteristics of this?
What are the qualities of a good role model or mentor?
In what ways are you serving as a “Paul” for a “Timothy in your life?
Who is serving as your “Paul” and mentoring you in the faith?
For those who profess Christ, what are the requirements of living in front of others?
Who is subject to those requirements? All who profess Christ or are there additional requirements for some?
What methods do you use to keep yourself grounded in God’s truth?
In what ways might you to need to reaffirm your commitment to those important methods in your life?

Transformation Journey this week
This coming Wednesday, we will be looking at Paul’s letter to the church at Galatia during our Transformation Journey session. We will also be having a Veteran Day’s service at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
This Wednesday only, I want to encourage everyone who can to attend our 5:30 p.m session of Transformation Journey and/or in lieu of attending the 6:30 p.m. session, to attend the Veteran’s Day service at 7 p.m.
I hate canceling anything so I’m not technically “canceling” the 6:30 p.m. session. I will still be in the chapel if anyone wants to show up and talk about Galatians, but I know you will be blessed by being present for the special service our worship arts team is planning.

II Corinthians Session Wrapup
Last night’s session of Transformation Journey focused on our readings from II Corinthians. As we talked about last night, II Corinthians is not the second letter Paul wrote to the church in Corinth. Rather is the second of two letters we have preserved which Paul shared with them. There are others letters which are referenced in I and II Corinthians which have not been preserved.
Here’s the notes and other info. from that session.

Romans Session Wrapup
Last night we had our sixth session on the New Testament focused on the book of Romans. We talked about the uniqueness of Romans among Paul’s letter in that with this particular letter, Paul is addressing a community he did not begin nor had he ever visited. Because of that, Romans stands as the most comprehensive presentation of Paul’s understanding of the Gospel. During our session, we reviewed some of the key theological themes which Paul outlines in this letter to the church at Rome.
